Hotel Gierer Spezialitaten in Wasserburg

We had a very nice week at the Hotel Gierer. Due to the Corona there were some restrictions (e.g. no breakfast buffet in the classic sense), but the staff always tried to meet our needs. We had a spacious room with a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower. The outdoor pool area, which also includes a sauna, began right after our terrace. In the main house there is a swimming pool and also a sauna with a spacious relaxation room. The dinner was always a 4-course menu of choice, from which we were never disappointed. A real treat in terms of appearance and taste. The area offers beautiful hiking trails, the center of Wasserburg with the beautiful harbor is about 15 minutes' walk away. The guest card included in the hotel price offers the possibility of taking other excursions by bus and train. (e.g .: Lindau) We would have liked to come back over New Year's Eve, but unfortunately everything was already booked out.

Our room was nicely designed, no noticeable quirks or broken components. The staff is super friendly - there is nothing to complain about! At breakfast we were unfortunately a bit disappointed, Corona or not, but the selection should be a bit bigger. Breakfast becomes boring on the second day if you like to have a large and varied breakfast. The dinner in the wine tavern tasted all along the line, regardless of whether it was fish, roast beef or the 3-course menu. The hotel belongs to Max and Moritz in Kressbronn, if you like the beer you can get it here! The outdoor pool is beautifully designed, was unfortunately a bit dirty (sand / dirt on the edges in the pool and the announced food in the lounge consisted of a refrigerator with non-alcoholic drinks. If you wanted a coffee / beer / aperitif had to cross the street to the bar and to get something there. Unfortunately, there was nothing to eat in the lounge when asked. That could be improved. The indoor pool is big enough, unfortunately it was cleaned a bit carelessly and 2/3 of the water features in the wall didn't work. All in all, a great vacation, if you would like some relaxation in a second location on the lake and peace and quiet by the pool, you will get that too! I don't think this was the last time we were at the Hotel Gierer

This hotel is one of its own kind. You'll get the typical highly trained superb hotel experience you seem to only get around bodensee. Been there as a child, now coming back with my own children is always worth a stay.

Not everything is perfect but it is alright.

Great place. Nice view of lake Bodensee and Alps from the room.
